Ziltoid demands black coffeePosted 2007-03-07 by JayjayAbnormal
A blog on the official MySpace page for Ziltoid the Omniscient (Which Tracy responded that it is official) has been updated with a blog demanding black coffee as a "fuel for bending time". You may access the MySpace here.

Seeing as its signed up as a musician, in a couple of months songs may appear. You can count on us to report that ;-)

Tenet ; Ian White; The Hole; GolersPosted 2007-03-08 by greg
According to the latest myspace post, Jed is headed up to Vancouver until the end of March to put the finishing touches on Tenet's debut. In addition, there's been another lineup shift. The new bassist of Tenet is . . . Jed Simon. Talk about a work-ethic, eh?
Ian White (Caustic Thought, Ani Kyd Band) has recently added a music-centric Myspace profile at this location
On March 29, 2007 at The Buffalo Club in Vancouver, B. C. Zimmer's Hole shall ignite the stage (hopefully not literally) once again. As an added bonus, Just Cause will be playing. Gene's apparently no longer in the band but they're still pretty solid.
I seem to remember some good buzz on the list about a Vancouver area-band called Subversion after the GRRR!!! comp came out on Hevy Devy. For those of you into the "WTG happened to thing"... check out Stu Carruther's current band Golers. (And yeah that's the same Stu from Fuel Injected .45 and one of the many Tenet lineups as well as Grip Inc. who aren't tied to Dev at all but still slay and warrant checking out.)

Stupidity for AllPosted 2007-03-02 by JayjayAbnormal
The title track from Ryan van Poederooyen's new band "Terror Syndrome" has been posted on their MySpace here.

Tenet news, more Terror Syndrome samplesPosted 2007-02-23 by greg
Jed almost-recently announced some lineup changes to Tenet. In the interest of starting fresh, Gene is out and Adrian Erlandsson (Cradle of Filth, At the Gates, The Haunted etc. etc.) is in. Don't read much into it. The Strapping brotherhood is still strong and Tenet simply isn't that band. Another addition to the lineup is Glen Alvelais (Forbidden, Testament, LD-50) on lead guitar. There's a good chance of Rob Uribanati (ultrazone, Sacrifice) making an appearance in some capacity but Jed will try doing the vocals himself.

Ryan's solo project Terror Syndrome recently posted a second medley on their myspace page. While the project does include oodles of familiar faces, it is classed as a solo venture since RVP wrote the bulk of it, chose the lineup, did much of the recording, and just generally made it all himself. So don't expect DTB meets Non-human Level meets Lalu meets blah blah blah etc. etc. and just rock out.

The New ProjectsPosted 2007-02-17 by Henrik
Devin is busy with his Ziltoid project, Ryan is doing his Terror Syndrome 'solo' album, Gene pounds for Dethklok these days, Jed works on Zimmers Hole, Tenet... its difficult to get the latest update on each project, but at least we try to do so. If you see some additional news, youre welcome to throw it at us, however lets just give you links to the recent projects:

SYL 1997 Vancouver Bootleg DVDPosted 2007-02-14 by Henrik
STRAPPING YOUNG LAD > 13.07.1997 Vancouver, BC, The Gate

This DVD was sold on ebay and liberated on dimeadozen by me in 2006. Due to new requests I'm re-seeding this thing now, but I also took the opportunity to remaster the audio and denoise and resharpen the video, so its superior to the old version. Enjoy, will you!

RVP solo samplesPosted 2007-02-13 by greg
Ryan Van Poederooyen from DTB has begun posting some samples in medley form from his solo venture on the Terror Syndrome myspace page. For those of you into DTB, this is definitely worth checking out as the project also features Dave and Mike playing in a style not usually touched upon in Dev's solo work.
